I never ever heard of a redhead being referred to as a "ginger" until less than 10 years ago. I've heard they're discriminated against and people think bad things about them in a lot of the world. In the part of the US I've always lived in, the only stereotypes about redheads are that they're sexy, have high sex drives, and sunburn easily.

In the cozy corner of the bookstore, amidst the scent of old pages, my eyes met James’ across the Gay Literature section.
