    It wasn’t until he began his job as a barista at a Starbucks in Miami Beach, Florida – a colorful mecca for many members of the LGBTQIA2+ community – that Xavier found a safe haven where he could come out and live his truth.

Barista Gay Romance MM He's my heart Mexico-based founder Luis Enrique tells us a little more about the project. Luis is a former finance professional from Mexico City, and after 10 years hiding behind an Excel spreadsheet, he decided to take an unexpected turn and pursue his passion for coffee. It was in that he quit his 9-to-5 job and started his own coffee brand, The Gay Barista, as a way to showcase representation for gay specialty-coffee members. Having more spaces like these where we can be ourselves is vital for those who are not party animals.

And we know there are tons of queer baristas, roasters, and coffee shop owners doing amazing work behind the counter and in their community. We want to hear from you! This is an opportunity to share your story, as well as give a shout-out to companies, causes, organizations, or people who have made a difference in your life.
    The crowd surged around me at the concert, and then I saw him, Leo, a vision bathed in the stage lights, and I knew instantly this gay man was special. We connected over our shared love for the band, laughing at their antics and then exchanging numbers, even though he came from a world so different from my own. Hours turned into a late-night diner visit filled with easy conversation and the comfortable silence of two strangers understanding each other, proving that the best love stories are written without borders in the LGBT community. As we walked home hand-in-hand, I realized I'd found my soulmate in a concert, a journey that transcended backgrounds.
